Layout thrift store
These are free layouts that I doubt anyone is going to use. Making them is fun, though, so I keep doing it. All of them look great on phones.
There is documentation and a bit of a ramble from me on the layout pages themselves. They're not super beginner-friendly, but if you have a basic grasp of HTML and CSS, they should be pretty kind to you. Unless otherwise stated, everything you need to use a layout is inline, so you can just yank the source code. If you need help, shoot me an email!
Links back are appreciated, but not required because all of these layouts require some level of modification before use. You are welcome to chop them up and mutilate them as you see fit. If you use anything here, I'd be delighted if you showed me!

Do you want to have a ton of links? Do you want those links not to look like garbage on mobile? Boy, do I have the layout for you.
Due to the overall convolutedness of the structure and CSS, this is commented in some parts.
Simple 2 column

CSS variables: Yes
Preview/Download Version 1
Preview/Download Version 2
A 2 column layout repurposed from the first iteration of this website. There are 2 versions; they look the same on desktop but behave differently on mobile. Version 1 stays in 2 columns regardless of screen size, while version 2 turns into 1 column on phones and small screens.

An ancient 2010 layout that I made mobile-friendly as part of a tutorial. I think the gridded links are fun.
